More Than 30 Years Serving Minnesota Families
At the law office of Janet L. Goehle, Attorney at Law, in St. Paul, Minnesota, I have devoted more than 30 years in practice exclusively to family law and the welfare of children of divorcing and never-married parents.
My own experience as a St. Paul family law lawyer has shown me that the most effective way to approach unresolved issues of a divorce or other conflict is to begin at points of agreement. The most common objective on which parents concur is to minimize the impact of divorce on any children in the family and act with their best interests as the top priority.

Janet L. Goehle, Attorney at Law, Will Lead You Through a Commonsense Approach to Divorce
I provide guidance to clients interested in making the divorce and child custody process work for them, rather than against them. Whenever possible, I work with you to seek equitable solutions through alternative dispute resolution (ADR) through methods such as mediation, arbitration and neutral early evaluations.
As a qualified neutral under Rule 114, a social early neutral evaluator (SENE), a parenting time expeditor (PTE), parenting consultant (PC) or custody evaluator (CE), I am uniquely qualified to provide guidance to clients interested in making the divorce process work for them rather than against them. Whenever possible, I work with you to seek equitable solutions through alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods such as mediation, arbitration or early neutral evaluations.
I am always capable of representing your interests in court, but I am a strong proponent of ADR because it allows couples to retain more control of the important decisions that will impact their lives after divorce. In the past two decades, I have had fewer family court trials. That doesn’t mean I am unable or unwilling to go to court — it means you and I don’t need a trial to accomplish important objectives.
